We asked Deena some questions about her career, and this is what she said!

Q1: How long have you been modeling, and how did you get started?

DT: I had interest in becoming a model from an early age. As an eight year old child, I would dress up and have fashion shows for my mother. But, I actually got started quite late by industry standards. I signed with my first modeling agency at the age of 22.

Q2: What is the most difficult thing about being a model?

DT: The misconception that we are just a pretty face can be quite challenging. I have worked with many women over the years. Often, they have academic backgrounds with impressive credentials as well.

Q3: What is your favorite thing about being a model?

DT: Being a model and spokesmodel has opened up so many doors and opportunities for me. I’d say the best part is the travel and being able to meet and work with a lot of amazing talented people. I also love that everyday is different.

Q4: Has modeling taken you to any exotic locations or places you’ve only dreamed of going to?

DT: Modeling has taken me to many beautiful places like Hawaii. Its also given me the opportunity to travel the US and see all the great big cities. I absolutely love working in San Francisco and New York.

Q5: What is your favorite project or event you have worked on?

DT: This is a hard one to pinpoint! This is an exciting industry and I’ve been blessed to work on so many different projects. However, seeing my first billboard for Westfield Shopping Center will always stick out in my mind. Also, the first time I ever presented on mic at the NY Auto Show was amazing. I was on a rotating platform in front of thousands of attendees. What a rush and an incredible experience!
